The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of business travel, illness (John and George), an unexpected and extended hospital stay (me), and lots of holiday preparations. Needless to say, it was great to spend some time with my family last weekend celebrating things big and small.
On Saturday, we enjoyed a great casual breakfast from our favorite local bagel shop and a quick trip to our neighborhood farmer’s market. Afterwards, we met my parents and the Hunters for a trip to the Zoo…
a ride on the Hermann Park train…
and lunch at Barnaby’s. G really loved his corn dog!
Afterwards, all the kids were too amped to nap, so they played around the house. Later, John and I went to a Christmas party hosted by dear friends. We had a great time. It’s so fun to celebrate the holidays with friends. Special thanks to Nelda and Zach for taking care of G while we were out. And special thanks to the Lears for hosting us.
On Sunday, John, George and I went to mass, made a quick Whole Foods run, then returned home. Later, we met my parents, the Hunters and the Rosenbergs to celebrate Julie’s 40th Birthday at North. We had a great time – delicious food and fun company. Can I look like this when I’m 40?
The last few weeks have put life in somewhat of a clearer perspective for me, and I am so grateful to celebrate life with my family and friends. I hope you had a great weekend too!
