Location – The hotel is located on the Silverado Trail in Napa and backs up to the Napa River. We flew into the San Francisco Airport, but you can also get to Napa from Oakland. Depending on traffic, the drive from San Francisco can be anywhere from an hour to three. The hotel is not in a noisy area and, in our experience, is generally very tranquil.
Customer Service – Service at the hotel was excellent. We never wanted for anything and we were always treated warmly and graciously by staff. Everyone we encountered was helpful, accommodating, and eager to assist.
Accommodations – We booked our room at the last-minute and we were able to snag the hotel’s last available room. We were accommodated in Room 10 on the property (there are 12 rooms there). Our room had an oversize-bedroom, large bathroom, oversize-tub, as well as a large walk-in shower. The room also came with a desk area, very large closets, a mini-refrigerator, TV, sitting area and outdoor patio.
Amenities – The hotel features turn-down service, a spa, library, deck for lounging and daily “Magic Hour” (Happy Hour). The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast to all guests that they will deliver to you anywhere on the property – in your room, on your patio, on the grounds, etc. The hotel also offers a great concierge that can help schedule wine-tastings, dinners, lunches, car service, hot-air balloon rides, etc. A quick trip the Concierge desk and your plans will be set.
Family Friendly – This hotel is not family-friendly. Children are not allowed on the property and the hotel is very strict about this. Given the small nature of the hotel, I can see why this is their policy.
Member Recognition – There was no recognition program at the hotel to align ourselves with. While there is an SPG property in downtown Napa – and you know I love Starwood – we opted for a more cozy, boutique hotel experience for this trip.
We would absolutely stay at this property again and we hope to have an opportunity to do so in the near future.
