Progress: We had a meeting on Monday with a representative from the cabinet company that our architect recommended. We really liked what we heard and saw and we are now waiting to get a final quote on the cabinets in the kitchen (including pantry and china closet), master bath and living room.
Meanwhile, the crew spent the week making progress in the house. The beam work is done in the kitchen and they’ve started work on our stair remodel.
The guys also framed our new shower and linen closet in the master suite.
Insulation work is also happening in the living spaces downstairs.
Finally, another layer of paint has been done on all wall surfaces upstairs. We expect ceilings to be tackled next week.
Details: We finally picked out a back splash in the kitchen (surprise – it’s not white!), lights for the upstairs landing, toilets, and a chandelier for our dining room.
As I previously mentioned, we listed our beloved Cliffwood just after midnight on Friday, October 2nd. Within 24 hours, we had 6 showing set up and we ended up having 8 before the weekend was over. We’ve had another 6 showings since then and we had an open house on Sunday. We have our first offer in. Please cross your fingers for us!
Challenges: There are so many choices…for everything. And I’m really starting to second guess some of my choices. What a vicious cycle.
Wins: …However, we are still very much enjoying this process!
