London: December 28th

George woke up in the middle of the night for about an hour before sleeping in until 9:30AM. I am not sure what was up, but this kid was going crazy for an hour before he crashed again. Little G would not stop talking! Once Georgie was finally up, we made our way downstairs for breakfast.

After returning to the room to prep to be out for the day, we made our way to the Tower of London via taxi. One of the cool things about London taxis is that you wheel your stroller inside the taxi, engage the brake, buckle yourself in, and enjoy the ride. This method kept George safe during our travels in London and made it easy for us to get around.

We happened to be at the Tower of London during the busiest day of the week (Sunday). Yikes.

We did a bit of exploring before waiting in line for an hour to see the Crown Jewels. Even though it was a very long cold wait outside, it was very much worth the wait. The jewels were extraordinary. Truly. Sadly, photos were not allowed inside the exhibit.

We did a bit more exploring afterwards before catching a taxi back to the hotel. Once there, we ordered a late lunch from room service. We had a nice few hours in the room, including a two-hour nap for George and me.

We ended up heading out for a late dinner at Spaghetti House, an Italian restaurant around the corner from our hotel. The service and the food was good, and George devoured his spaghetti dish.

Before going to bed, we did some packing and then bath time. George ended up with a lot of energy to burn, so we watched two episodes of Peppa Pig before he drifted off to dreamland.
