Timeline: Georgie is 7 months old! Time flies!
How We’re Feeling: We are incredibly blessed — George, John and I have been very happy and healthy.
How George is Changing: George is growing like a weed! Since we haven’t been to the doctor since George’s 6 month appointment, we don’t have new accurate weight/height numbers…but we know he is heavier and longer!
We are still breastfeeding and fortunately everything is still going really well. George still nurses 5 or 6 times a day and one of those is typically a bottle feeding (usually given by John or our nanny). When I am traveling for work, George is exclusively fed expressed breast milk. George is also still sleeping really well and typically sleeps for 9 to 11 hours at night (without waking to feed/change). Amen!
We are in month two of solid foods and George is currently enjoying pears, bananas, apples, raspberries, blueberries, sweet potatoes and avocado. He has started to refuse peas and green beans. Go figure! We typically feed him solid foods 3 times a day – he is a very good eater.
How I’m Changing (Body After Baby): I will do a comprehensive update in a few days (I will actually do it this time!), but I am down 60 pounds and feeling great. Only 7 more pounds to go! Running and sleeping are going well for me too.
How I’m Staying Active: Running, walking and strength training are my exercise of choice these days. I’m loving it!
What’s Keeping Me Busy: In addition to being a Mom, I am still working full-time (from home) and am traveling more and more for work these days.
What’s New with George: George is wearing mostly 9 month and 6-12 month size clothing now. He still loves playing in his activity center and loves jumping up and down. George is sitting on his own, but still needs additional support (just in case), especially when he is tired. George LOVES the Beaba spoons we use to feed him and he loves to hold and play with them. George also likes to play with toys and likes to be surrounded by them.
What’s New at Cliffwood: We are still in the midst of a prolonged Winter house cleansing. We are still sprucing up a few things around the house and have some new pieces of furniture and decorative items. I hope to post about these things in the next week. I promise!
The Nursery: We are still waiting on delivery of the wall art we chose for the nursery. There was a shipping mistake that we hope will be fixed soon. We are getting so close to being “done” with the decor in the nursery.
