April was a very memorable month for us!
Travel — Unlike last month, this month was full of travel. I spent 17 days on the road with trips to Austin, Dallas, Little Rock, Oklahoma, and Chicago. Sadly, I had first hand experience with TSA furloughs at airports — long lines and delays. I’m glad that there is apparently a remedy in store for travelers because waiting and waiting…is not fun or productive.
Personal — Well, the big news is that we are having a baby in October! Now that the news is out in the open, we are having much more fun with everything. I’ll share more details later this week about how things have gone so far, but I am feeling great and we are very excited. John and I have spent our weekends looking at baby-related items, enjoying long walks in Hermann Park and spring cleaning Casa Cliffwood. Here’s a picture of Baby Arnold at 12 weeks.
Running – I had a great running month and logged 91 miles. I am still running 5 days a week and continue to love the experience. I participated in the Four the Park 4 miler and the Bellaire Trolley 5k and had great times for each race. Due to the increasing heat, humidity and my size (!), I am not sure if I am going to be tackling any outdoor races anytime soon.
I have a lot of information to share with you and am hopeful that I can carve out some time soon to put thoughts, details and photos together for a few blog posts. In the meantime, I hope all is well in your world and that your May is off to a great start!
