We’re back after a rejuvenating and relaxing weekend in New Orleans. Aside from a small hiccup (more on that later), our weekend went better than we could have imagined. Wonderful meals, fun activities and plenty of time to relax.
John and I traveled to New Orleans together in 2010 and in 2004 (and have made several trips individually for work and pleasure in this time frame), and were glad to reunite with a city that we love so much. Every time we visit, we stroll the French Quarter with the intention of finding our second home. Obviously, we have never purchased a place during these excursions, but our desire to actually go through with it intensifies with each trip. We absolutely love the proximity of the Crescent City and the joie de vie that it provides. With over 1,200 restaurants, it is near impossible to make a serious dent in the list of places that we would like to experience. Additionally, there is always a new store that we’d like to visit or new exhibit we’d like to take in. Clearly, we love New Orleans.
One of my 2012 goals is to do a better job of documenting our travels, including hotel and restaurant details, and I am going to try to meet that goal with this trip. Check back later for posts from our weekend in New Orleans!
