Yesterday, John and I drove out to Dripping Springs, Texas to watch Zeke Smith (a friend of mine since our high school days) marry the love of his life — Kate Jerden! Here’s Kate descending the stairs with her Dad during the ceremony. Great dress, no?
The ceremony was outdoors — a beautiful setting with the birds chirping, sweeping views of the hill country, as well as a gorgeous sunset. The brief and very enjoyable ceremony was performed by Zeke’s father.
I love the look on their faces — so happy!
After the ceremony there was a brief cocktail reception before dinner and dancing. During this part of the reception, John and I enjoyed the beautiful view from the venue’s balcony.
Inside, the venue was beautifully decorated in black/white damask, black linens, candles, green up-lighting and gorgeous white flowers.
And then there was the cake. Gorgeous.
The detailing was just beautiful, especially the adorable cake topper.
Here’s the entire bridal party (following their formal introduction).
We were thrilled and humbled to be part of Zeke and Kate’s special day. Zeke and Kate — everything was beautiful, elegant and very enjoyable. We loved the venue, decor, ceremony, catching up with old friends and making new ones. We love you guys! Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!
