RunChi Training — Week 6

Yesterday marked the end of my sixth week of training, and I can’t believe it! Time Flies!!! This is what my week looked like:

  • Monday – Cross Training (30 minutes on the eliptical & 30 minute walk on the treadmill)
  • Tuesday – 3 mile run (neighborhood)
  • Wednesday – 5 mile run (treadmill)
  • Thursday – Rest
  • Friday – 6.5 mile run (DC Loop)
  • Saturday – 3 mile run (treadmill)
  • Sunday – 12 mile run (Woodley Park to Arlington, VA)

That’s 29.5 miles this week! I had to move some of my runs around due to scheduling, but I am proud to say that I not only completed them, but did more than what was prescribed this week.  What can I say — it worked out?! I have strated to incorporate the treadmill to mix in speedwork and to meet the demands of my schedule. If running on the treadmill is the only way I can get a work out in (due to heat, time, safety, travel), I’ll do it. I am feeling strong and looking forward to Week 7!

Way to go, Michelle! Time flies when you are training, doesn’t it? Make sure you don’t overdo it…you are super-woman!
