Marathon: The Ultimate Guide

The first book I pulled out of my book bag was Marathon: The Ultimate Guide, by Hal Higdon.

It was such a great read! Informative without being teachy and inspirational without being preachy. Given that I am training for the Chicago Marathon, this is exactly the type of timely information that I needed. I took down all sorts of notes, some that will find there way into my marathon goals (in a forthcoming blog post). I have used Higdon’s training plans for all of my marathons and half marathons and will be using one this go round. If you are a runner, aspiring, novice or expert, you should read this book…soon! You won’t regret it!
